Following the recent UK Government update on Home Moving we would like to re-assure our clients and customers that we will be strictly following the guidelines published. To ensure a safe working environment for our staff, we have produced the following policy for when interacting with clients and customers.
Our Office
In line with UK Government Social Distancing guidelines we have a clearly marked Visitor Area which can only be occupied by a maximum of two people (from the same household) at any one time. Should this area be occupied at the time of your visit we politely ask that you remain outside and at least two metres from the office door until the Visitor Area has been cleared.
Contractors are asked to use the designated tray when collecting and returning keys etc.
Virtual Viewings
Where possible we will email a potential purchaser or tenant the Video Walk through of the property before arranging a physical viewing.
Accompanied Viewings (Sales & Lettings)
In line with UK Government Social Distancing guidelines we will allow a maximum of two people (from the same household) to view a property. Applicants will be required to be wear either a face mask or some form of face covering during the viewing. Applicants will be issued with hand sanitiser (should they not have their own) prior to entering the property. Our agent will open all internal and external doors as required. Any occupiers of the property will be asked to vacate for the duration of the viewing.
Non-Accompanied Viewings (Sales & Lettings)
In the event that the property owner or occupier carries out a viewing appointment we expect both parties to follow the UK Governments guidelines and advice regarding Social Distancing at all times.
Occupied Properties
We will not conduct viewings in properties where current occupiers are symptomatic or self-isolating, or where it has been determined that they are clinically extremely vulnerable and are shielding.
Market Appraisals
Where we are asked to carry out a Market Appraisal at an occupied property (or with the property owner/representative if vacant) our agent will use hand sanitiser prior to entry and upon our exit. Our agent will wear a mask if necessary.

Lettings – Property Inspections
We will now resume property inspections (as and when required) of our managed properties and will adhere to the UK Government Social Distancing Guidelines with regard entering an occupied property. This will include our agent using hand sanitiser prior to entering. Our agent will also wear a mask when needed. We will not conduct Inspections in properties where current occupiers are symptomatic or self-isolating, or where it has been determined that they are clinically extremely vulnerable and are shielding.
Contractors
Our contractors will continue to work within the UK Government Social Distancing Guidelines when asked to attend one of our properties. Occupiers may be asked to vacate the property for the duration of their visit.
